Vinod Kambli also fell soon after, but there followed a 259-runpartnership between Jaffer and Amol Muzumdar. Jaffer scored 178 ofthose runs, and his innings took only 180 balls and 239 minutes as theopener struck 24 fours and one six in his innings.Muzumdar was slower, preferring to play second fiddle to an aggressiveJaffer.
